Read Here About the Lake Hartwell and Anderson Real Estate Market Lake Hartwell is located at the border of the Northeast Georgia Mountains and Upcountry South Carolina, less than two hours from the major cities of Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC. The close proximity to major cities makes it a perfect place for year-round living and retirement homes. The Lake’s approximately 1000 miles of shoreline and 56,000 acres make it a popular destination for travelers looking for short-term vacation rentals and year-round vacation homes. The Lake Hartwell area climate is best described as moderate: summers are warm with occasionally high temperatures and winters are mild. This gentle climate is especially attractive to retirees who can enjoy golfing, fishing, and sightseeing along the many scenic drives in the area. 18,500 acres of water and a 300-mile shoreline make Lake Keowee an attractive area for many real estate opportunities. Lake Keowee offers a variety of real estate options for those folks wanting a full-time residence, vacation home, vacation rental, or a retirement home. There are individual homes and planned communities available to satisfy many lifestyles. Waterfront living is exceptionally desirable, and generally the most expensive option. There are individual homes as well as communities located right on the lake that offer boating slips and beachfronts. There are planned communities that cater to an active lifestyle and offer recreational facilities such as swimming, tennis and golf. Larger home sites and properties can be found away from the lake in wooded areas that are developed into large estates. All types of properties are available: lots, condominiums, townhouses, existing homes, or custom built homes, on all locations: waterfront, wooded areas, and golf courses. Anderson is a city of 25,000 residents that is continually attracting new businesses and families because of its many advantages. It is the County Seat of Anderson County, which was considered one of the “hottest American cities for business location” by Expansion Management, January 2001 issue. Anderson County is located on the I-85 corridor running from Atlanta, Georgia to Charlotte, North Carolina, one of the nation’s most dynamic growth areas. The community of Anderson has the basics: good transportation system, key location, affordable land, developed infrastructure, and many recreational facilities. Anderson has a flexible and varied housing market. In downtown Anderson there are older homes on tree-lined streets. Anderson’s appreciation of its heritage is in evidence in the areas identified as Heritage Tree District and Historic Districts. Many homes and developments are on the market which are reasonably priced. In the suburban areas new housing developments are offering single-family homes and starter homes; farmhouses, apartments, and condominiums are also plentiful. Beautiful executive homes overlooking golf courses and nearby country clubs can also be found. Which neighborhoods offer the best values? It's my job to help! Buyers Remorse >For Sale to SOLD
It takes a lot more than a "For Sale" sign in the front yard, a Multiple Listing entry, and an occasional ad in the classifieds to get a listing sold. When real estate agents sell a house, we sometimes have to "sell" it again and again before the contract is actually signed by the buyers and sellers.
Many events must occur before the closing. The house must be "sold" to the buyers' relatives, the home inspector, the appraiser, and other experts. The buyers must secure a mortgage. At some point during the process, the buyers may go through a serious case of "buyers' remorse" and consider backing out of the transaction. Since the transaction could potentially fall through at any step in the process, you will find the services of a professional real estate agent invaluable. Agents continue to present the house in the best light possible and use thier professional skills to solve any problems that may arise.
